What is Hypnotherapy and how can it help me?

Hypnotherapy is a powerful natural medium that can be used to achieve therapeutic changes by altering your unconscious processes.

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation — like being in a daydream, or similar to a guided meditation. 95% of what we do — how we think, feel, and react — comes from our subconscious programming. Hypnosis helps to change the script. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in the same old patterns… it’s your subconscious programming running that old script.

When you reach a state of deep relaxation, like the state right before you fall asleep, your subconscious mind becomes more open, and open to suggestions that align with what you truly want. It’s a this point we can reprogram the brain to start thinking, feeling, and acting in ways that match the life you want to create.

  • Hypnotherapy can help treat a number of conditions: stress, anxiety, self-esteem issues, phobias, weight loss, fingernail biting, quitting smoking, insomnia, and a range of other symptoms or conditions. When in a state of hypnosis (deep relaxation) you are still fully in control, however, you are able to ignore ordinary distractions. Your conscious mind is quietened, and in this relaxed state, you are more open to making desired changes to improve your health and quality of life, through guided suggestions by modifying unconscious thoughts that are driving your current behaviours.

  • Psychotherapy identifies behaviours attached to emotional issues and helps individuals understand themselves better to overcome challenges, improve their quality of life, and assist in changing their personal behaviours.

  • Gestalt therapy is a form of therapy that focuses on the present moment, based on the idea that people are influenced by their present environment. It promotes increased self-awareness and a clear understanding of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, allowing individuals to develop a different perspective and bring positive change into their life.

  • EFT is a mind-body therapy that has origins in ancient Chinese medicine, using gentle pressure on meridian points, (like acupuncture) to change the way energy travels around the body. By tapping on meridian points with your fingertips, small shockwaves are sent through the energy system which stimulates smooth flow and clears blockages. This form of therapy can be used to reduce pain, stress and anxiety, improve performance, lessen cravings, and help resolve fears and phobias.
